On this page you will find resources that can be used to raise awareness of TB, including resources for people who work with those most at risk of TB. The resources are all free and the posters can be printed with any home or office printer.

 Information and booking details for our free TB awareness training for third sector organisation, which will be held on various dates in cities around England. 

TB and HIV in the African Community flyer

The Truth About TB and HIV in the African Community is a leaflet that has been written to raise awareness about TB and TB-HIV co-infection.

It provides a brief overview of TB, including how it is transmitted, risk factors, common symptoms and what action someone should take if they are concerned about TB. The leaflet also provides a comprehensive list of sources of advice and information for anyone that thinks they may be at risk of TB or TB-HIV co-infection. 

The symptoms of TB animation

This accessible animation provides a visual guide to the most common symptoms of TB, and advises people to contact a doctor if they think they might have the illness.

Substance misuse and TB

These National Knowledge Service resources provide information for users and providers of substance (drug and alcohol) misuse services. People who misuse substances are more at risk of TB. These resources are aimed to increase awareness among the users, carers and healthcare workers affected by substance misuse and TB.

TB and homelessness

These National Knowledge Service resources were developed with Homeless Link to improve knowledge and support among staff and managers of hostels for the homeless, where the incidence of tuberculosis is high. The information is for officials of hostels, shelters and day centres.

TB in prisons

These National Knowledge Service resources are aimed at increasing awareness among prisoners and non-clinical prison staff about TB. They provide information about the symptoms of TB, testing and treatment. As well as supporting the individuals who have been diagnosed with TB in prisons.
